Bio
In addition to my work as a mentor, I’m a fully trained actor, having recently graduated from the MA course at East 15. I’ve acted since I was five, but it was whilst completing my Masters in History at Oxford (the planned precursor to a career in academia) that I realised my passion for acting. I still possess a deep love for history: you will often find me at a museum, watching a history documentary, or deep in a book on Revolutionary France. Throughout both my Masters and Undergraduate degrees, I was a keen football player, and am still (despite the constant pain) a fervent supporter of Tottenham Hotspur. I’m a great lover of crime novels, films, and video games, as well as long walks and cooking.
Approach
My approach as a mentor is to focus on building a positive relationship with the mentee: seeking to understand their needs, often at an emotional level, rather than an academic one, as the former heavily influences the latter. I aim to build resilience and confidence in every child, to empower them to take control of their own learning and adapt to any challenges that they may encounter.
