Bio
After graduating from the University of Edinburgh, I emigrated to East Asia and have been living and working here for the past five years. What started as a 6-month plan has since turned into a deep love and appreciation for Korean culture, language, and lifestyle.
In Korea, I have taught History and Literature in an international school and English Language in an academy, spanning from elementary all the way to high school level. Alongside this, I have worked as a photographer and actor, collaborating with brands like Samsung, LG, FILA, Hyundai, Subway, and Coca-Cola.
Outside of work, I lead an active lifestyle, balancing time between fitness and creative projects. I'm a member of the Seoul Survivors Rugby team and last year I cycled across Korea. This year, with the help of a small crew, I directed, filmed and edited a documentary about the unusual happenings of a small village in Seoul.
Approach
At the core of my approach is the aim to instil confidence in my students. I believe confidence underpins academic success and creating a space where young people feel supported and encouraged to build confidence and challenge themselves is ultimately how they learn to grow. My role is to understand what makes my students tick and create a game plan together to help them achieve their goals.
